Grants are available to support arts and cultural activities in regional South Australia that are sustainable, have long term cultural, economic and social benefits, develop partnerships and cultural networks and provide skills development opportunities.

  • Artist Professional Development Grants

    • THIS GRANT IS CURRENTLY CLOSED

    Country Arts SA’s Artist Professional Development Grants are available to support artists and arts workers to participate in professional development opportunities. These grants can contribute to costs associated with undertaking professional development opportunities such as workshops, conferences, seminars etc. The grants are fast-turnaround and are intended for those who wish to undertake a time sensitive professional development opportunity.

  • Shows on the Road (GAL)

    This program aims to increase access to the arts through the delivery of professional performing arts to smaller country centres.

  • Quick Response Grant – June
    • Closes 30/06/2024
    • Up to $5,000

    Quick Response Grants will fund professional development opportunities for artists and arts workers or small project opportunities. The program supports immediate need that arises where the activity is unable to be planned for or supported in other funding rounds, for example taking up professional development, skills development or small project opportunities at short notice.

  • Project Grants

    • Up to 30,000

    Project Grants will fund high-quality arts projects benefitting regional or remote artists, arts workers, audiences and communities. The focus of the project could include any area of creative practice, multiple artforms or cross-disciplinary practice.

Information for applicants

When writing a grant application it is important to allow plenty of time for preparation and research. The process of gathering this information will also assist you in completing other funding applications so it is worth investing time.

Eligibility
  1. You must be an Individual/Sole Trade, Australian Incorporated Organisation or Local Government Organisation with an ABN registered to a regional or remote South Australian postcode.
  2. Please read the Eligibility information document to determine if your ABN status is eligible.
  3. You are ineligible to apply if you are based in metropolitan South Australia* or are an Australian Government or state government entity (except for schools in very remote areas (MM 7)).

* To determine regionality, Country Arts SA uses the Modified Monash Model. If you are based in a location with a MM 2 to MM 7 code, you are eligible to apply. To check your MM, visit the Health Workforce Locator and follow these steps:
– Enter your address into the ‘Address’ box at the left-hand side of the page
– Tick the 2019 box beside ‘Modified Monash Model’
– Click ‘Search location’

How to apply
  1. Read both guidelines documents above to determine which grant is the right match for your project.
  2. Contact a Country Arts SA team member to discuss funding options and for advice on project development.
  3. Select your grant from the Country Arts SA website, this will take you to the online form via Smarty Grants.
  4. Start writing your grant and gathering support material well before the deadline.
  5. Use the Resources and Documents below to assist with your application.
  6. Contact a member of the Country Arts SA team or email [email protected] if you have any further questions or need assistance.
  7. Submit your application.
