National Youth Week has just come and gone on 5th April to 14th April but the celebration continues at the River Lands Gallery.
Launched during Youth Week, the River Lands Gallery is hosting an exhibition of art works by Riverland and Mallee young people aged 12-25 throughout April (finishing on 10th May).
Celebrating the theme of ‘Be You’, works express the inidivual ideas and style of the artists and the exhibition provides an opportunity for young artists to hang their work in a dedicated gallery space.
Country Arts SA Arts and Cultural Development Officer for the Riverland and Mallee Alysha Herrmann worked closely with local schools and service providers to support young people in, what for many, is their first experience exhibiting their work to the public.
The exhibition also includes work by ‘senior’ young people including local artist Taylor Schramm and 2013 RYT Fresh Meet Mentee Niki McNaughton.
River Lands Gallery is open Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm.
