New Project Grant Round – get inspired + practical workshops
The Grant Writing Workshops are designed to help artists, arts workers, organisations and arts businesses get better at putting together grant applications with practical exercises and tips to help you along the way.
The Country Arts SA grants team will be hosting online and in-person workshops during July 2026 which will cover:
· Defining your project with a one-page synopsis covering the who, what, where, why, when and how required to make the project come to life.
· Engaging with key project stakeholders and cultural advisors to ensure you have enough time to assemble your project team, have the right cultural approvals in place, and strong Letters of Support.
· Budget and project planning tips and tools.
· Get inspired by recently funded projects including an on-Country creative development of a Ngarrindjeri song cycle theatre work grounded in matrilineal knowledge and cultural responsibilities; the Burra Orchestra Project; ‘Kaurna Yarta – The Seasons’ Regional Tour, Portal Festival and Kungka Tjuta Music Project.

60-minute online workshop – 16 July. Practical tips and tricks + learn from funded projects. 15-min Q&A for those who want to stick around.
90-minute in-person workshops in an interactive format designed to get you focused on achieving grant writing greatness, no pressure!

Who can apply for a project grant?
To be eligible you must be one of the following applicant types:
an individual over 18;
an Australian incorporated organisation that can provide evidence of non-profit status (e.g. an incorporated association, a company limited by guarantee, an Indigenous corporation, a proprietary limited company or a cooperative); or
have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) that is registered to your name and location; and
not have any outstanding reports, acquittals or serious breaches relating to any Australian Government funding.
