Country Arts SA has launched a revised Regional Arts Fund program of
funding to support arts and community projects that benefit regional artists,
arts workers and communities.
In response to feedback the funding categories have been simplified making it
easier for artists and community groups to apply. “We have brought some categories together to make it much clearer for applicants,” said Steve Saffell, Chief Executive Officer of Country Arts SA. “ So there are now four categories rather than six but there is no reduction in the total amount of grant money available.”
The funding opportunities enable people to develop sustainable ideas,
concepts and projects. The program also provides opportunities for communities to employ professional artists and arts workers to partner with them to create new and
innovative work.
“By working with skilled professionals on artistic projects, communities can
build their skills and produce a high quality work or project,” said Mr Saffell.
Country Arts SA gratefully acknowledges that the funding programs are made
possible through the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund initiative
and annual funding from the South Australian Government through Arts SA.
