Fringe Festival set to kick off in Mount Gambier

A month-long program of captivating performances and unique visual arts events will begin in Mount Gambier in February as part of the Adelaide Fringe.

Opening Weekend – 24 – 26 February
To kick off the month, Country Arts SA will present a suite of world class premiere shows alongside home grown and interstate talent.

Shows include:

Eyes By Sandpit

Through your special device you will witness the end of days.
You are one of the “remaining few” on this earth, what will be preserved? What will be destroyed?  Eyes investigates our myths, beliefs and survival tactics for the end of the world, in a highly immersive and charged experience.  But it’s okay – we’ve packed you a survival kit.

Mortal Condition By Larissa McGowan

Mortal Condition explores a very human relationship and the world of gaming. An unrestrained union turns to video games to ease the monotony.  What would your avatar look like? If you could choose different parts of you, what could you be instead? Mortal Condition is an extraordinary journey into a virtual world of contemporary dance.

Our Corka Bubs

Let them dance before they can crawl! Bring your baby to their very first ever performance!  Made for babies under 2 years with their carers, Our Corka Bubs creates gorgeous life moments where child, care and dance meet.  Grounded in Australia’s First Nation’s culture, Our Corka Bubs is captivating storytelling through movement and music.

We Are The World By Post

It’s a show about the world.  It’s a show about talking to hundreds of ordinary people face to face, over cups of tea, to get their take on what this world looks like.  It’s a show about placing this world onto a very slow search engine and then accessing it during the show … in real time.  Actually it’s a show about the internet.
