Possibly the most powerful all female group in Australia, THE TEN SOPRANOS combines classical and contemporary singing, providing a musical feast to whet the appetite of true music fans of all ages.
The group is led by the The “Singers’ Singer” PENNY PAVLAKIS, whose critically acclaimed talent brings to the stage star quality few can match.
The late Maestro Tommy Tycho said: “Pavlakis has no serious competitor on the world stage, whether it’s classical or contemporary, she really is magnificent”.
THE TEN SOPRANOS rendition of classics “Nessun Dorma” and “La Donna Mobile” are handled with perfection, and augmented with subtle new harmonies. Whilst John Denver’s “Aye Calypso” and Peter Allen’s “Don’t Cry Out Loud” have been “re-arranged” and deliver a haunting and emotional experience, not a dry eye in the house following the haunting rendition of “Oh Danny Boy”.
Audiences are so moved by the performances that some have left theatres in tears, others left exhilarated, and others just loiter around the venue to savour the moment, a little longer.
