Nature Studio returns in 2026.
This year the free community art event – which encourages people of all ages and abilities to celebrate their local landscape through art – will visit five locations across South Australia.
Join us on Saturday, 10 October to work alongside experienced local artist mentors.
Participants are invited to bring drawing materials, painting equipment, cameras or tablets to create a unique piece of art which responds to their environment and connection to place. A selection of materials will also be provided to use on the day.

Is Nature Studio for ‘good’ artists only?
Nature Studio is a community art event which invites people of all ages and abilities to create art outdoors. From well-known practicing artists to enthusiastic hobbyists and children, everyone is welcome.
Will there be materials available?
Although participants are encouraged to bring their own, there will be some materials provided for use on the day. Participants will need to bring their own chairs, easels, sunscreen, insect repellent and hats if needed.
Where will I find you on the day?
Each coordinator will advise participants of the central site. Participants are welcome to stay for as long as they would like – a couple of hours or all day.
Are children allowed?
Nature Studio is an intergenerational event. We encourage children to attend, but they must be accompanied by a trusted adult at all times.
Do I need to bring my lunch?
Lunch is provided for participants, and we can cater for vegetarian/vegan and gluten free requirements. We suggest you bring your own snacks and water, and if you have very specific dietary requirements you may feel more comfortable bringing your own lunch.
