About
Nature Studio returns in 2026. This year the free community art event – which encourages people of all ages and abilities to celebrate their local landscape through art – will visit six locations across South Australia.
Join us on Saturday, 3 October to work alongside experienced local artist mentors. Participants are invited to bring drawing or painting equipment, cameras or tablets to create a unique piece of art which responds to the environment and the artist’s connection to place. A selection of materials will also be provided to use on the day.
Locations to be confirmed closer to the date.

Is Nature Studio for ‘good’ artists only?
Nature Studio is a community art event which invites people of all ages and abilities to create art outdoors; from well known practicing artists to enthusiastic hobbyists and children. Everyone is welcome.
Will there be materials available as it says to bring some?
Although people are encouraged to bring materials and equipment, there will be some materials provided for use on the day. Participants will need to bring their own chairs, easels, sunscreen, insect repellent and hats if needed.
Where will I find you on the day?
Each coordinator will advise participants of the central site. People are welcome to stay for as long as they would like – a couple of hours or all day.
Are children allowed – it says all ages but the flyer looks like it is for adults?
We encourage children to come. This is an intergenerational event.
Do I need to bring my lunch?
Lunch is provided for participants, and we can cater for vegetarian/vegan and gluten free requirements. We suggest you bring your own snacks and water, and if you have very specific dietary requirements you may feel more comfortable bringing your own lunch.
Nature Studio is a Country Arts SA event, proudly supported by the following regional Councils.
