Shows on the Road is a touring program by Country Arts SA that brings high-quality, professional performances to regional South Australian communities. We work with existing and emerging South Australian artists, helping to develop local talent and connect communities with inspiring arts experiences
A Community Presenter Group is a local volunteer committee that partners with Country Arts SA to host performances in their town. These groups play a key role in organising and promoting events, welcoming artists, and creating a warm and engaging experience for audiences.
Each group adds its own flair—whether it’s hosting a supper, inviting the artists for a chat over tea, or involving local schools and community groups. It’s about making the arts accessible, meaningful, and memorable.
“The shows are brilliant—it’s like having a Fringe show in our town, without the hassle of driving to the city and paying for fuel, parking, and accommodation.”
— Patsy Crabb, Tintinara
“We love bringing new experiences to our community. The shows open the eyes of young students to what’s possible.”
— Cassie Weir, Roxby Downs
We’re always looking for passionate communities to join the program. If you’re interested in becoming a Presenter Group, please contact:
