Country Arts SA is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operations Manager to join our team at the Northen Festival Centre, Port Pirie.
About the role
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Northen Festival Centre, across all operational and delivery elements of the venue. Reporting to the Country Arts SA Arts Centre Leader, the Operations Manager will manage the venue team to ensure the venue operates at best practice level with exceptional customer service standards.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
- Oversee daily operations of the Arts Centre, including administration, box office, and front/back of house activities
- Lead, roster, and train staff to build a high-performing, customer-focused team
- Coordinate local programming and collaborate with artists, community groups, and venue users
- Monitor budgets, maintain records, and contribute to reporting and program evaluation
- Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with WHS and venue maintenance standards
- Maintain high technical and production standards across all events and activities
- Support marketing and audience engagement initiatives in collaboration with the team
- Ensure workplace health and safety compliance, including risk identification and management
- Build and maintain relationships with sponsors and community stakeholders
- Contribute to achieving organisational strategies and key plans
Special Conditions
- Frequent out of hours work and occasional intrastate travel may be required.
- Hold a current Australian Driver’s License.
- A valid Department of Human Services Child Related Employment Screening is required.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Training Certificate & Badge
- Required to participate in the Country Arts SA Staff Development Review Process and achieve performance targets as negotiated and mutually agreed with the line manager
