Country Arts SA is seeking applications for a highly motivated and strategic Marketing Manager to lead and elevate our marketing team.

Country Arts SA is one of South Australia’s largest and most dynamic arts organisations. We are more than a traditional arts organisation; we are presenters, producers, curators, and venue operators, delivering a diverse program of experiences across regional South Australia. From touring live music and bold contemporary theatre to community-led projects and major commercial hires. Our venues host more than 100 commercial events annually, from family favourites like The Wiggles to major Australian artists such as Guy Sebastian alongside our own curated and produced programming. We are dedicated to transforming how the arts are created, shared, and experienced, while supporting regional artists and connecting communities through meaningful cultural experiences.
About the Role
As Marketing Manager, you will shape and drive strategy across a dynamic mix of programs, venues, and audiences. You’ll lead an integrated marketing approach that balances competing priorities, accelerates growth, and enhances our brand and community impact. This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments whether from the arts or another sector.
Role Highlights
- Leading the end-to-end planning and execution of integrated campaigns across digital, media, events, and public relations
- Using data and audience insights to inform strategy, optimise performance, and guide decision-making
- Driving strategic communications that enhance reputation, demonstrate cultural impact, and support long-term sustainability
- Providing strong leadership to build a high-performing, collaborative, and professional marketing team
- Overseeing CRM strategy and capability to enable targeted engagement, audience growth, and high-quality reporting
- Contributing to organisational success through increased audience engagement, revenue outcomes, and community impact
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated success leading marketing teams and delivering strategic marketing outcomes
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proven experience in audience development, brand management, and campaign delivery
- Ability to work across diverse stakeholders, including artists, communities, and partners
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
Special Conditions
- Some out of hours work may be required.
- Intrastate/interstate travel may be required.
- Hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Required to participate in the Country Arts SA Staff Development Review Process and achieve performance targets as negotiated and mutually agreed with the line manager.
