Finance Manager

Country Arts SA is seeking a Finance Manager to lead a small team in the delivery of effective accounting and financial reporting as well as the preparation of audited
financial statements and budgets and the continuous improvement of business systems.

This important and dynamic role requires a strategic thinker who is committed to continuous improvement of systems, supportive of staff development and contributes to the organisation’s culture and values.

Role Purpose
Provide timely and accurate preparation of statements and reports in compliance with relevant standards and policy. Ensure the delivery of all required payroll processes and reporting; and the submission of relevant financial, taxation, BAS and fringe benefit returns; and contribute to efficiency by streamlining processes and procedures, whilst maintaining compliance with relevant standards and directives.

About You
You will be an accomplished, CPA qualified professional with significant experience in preparing timely and accurate financial statements, budgets, reports and audit documentation, including internal control procedures and techniques, and a demonstrated ability to interpret legislation, and comply with public sector accounting, administration and management policies, procedures and reporting.

You will have sound management skills and be able to build, motivate and develop a small team, as well as the ability to think strategically and creatively to analyse and resolve business problems, processes and systems, to improve overall performance and efficiency.

Requirements
– Membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, is essentials
– Must hold a relevant qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Economics or other applicable business discipline
– High level knowledge of relevant financial software packages and applications

Special conditions:
Occasional out of hours work, and intra/interstate travel may be required

Remuneration
ASO6 – 92,830 – $98,143

12-month contract – Full-time
