I Heart Bunnings

I Heart Bunnings—a show built for anyone renovating their life

Presenter Groups across regional South Australia will host the comedy ‘I Heart Bunnings’ in August.

One of Australia’s most natural comic talents, Harley Breen is heading to eight South Australian towns to show them why he loves walking around home renovation stores in a manly fashion in I Heart Bunnings.

Bunnings is the ultimate man-shed. Two acres of timber, tools and trellises, “guaranteed to make your man-ovaries ache” stand-up comedian Harley says.  “It’s a  fantasy  supermarket where dreams and wobbly bookshelves are made”.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2011 Comics’ Choice winner Harley has two brothers -they’re both carpenters.  He’s not.  He likes going to Bunnings to look at things he could make if they were around to fix them.

Bunnings  is the perfect place to wander around and feel like you’ve got the skills and materials to get important things done around the house.

Harley’s unique flair for storytelling and charisma had audiences rolling in the aisles last year, as he recounted his story of locking himself in a bathroom for 42 hours for the sake of His Art.

“Some of the best belly laughs I’ve had so far,” Adelaide Comedy Review.

Through the Shows on the Road touring program, Country Arts SA is committed to providing the opportunity for local communities to access professional touring performances.
