Creative-Communities-Partnership-Program-Website

Since the program started in 2012, 14 Arts and Cultural Facilitators have been employed across South Australia. In recent years the program has been hotly contested.

The program provides professional arts and cultural development assistance through the employment of a dedicated Arts and Cultural Facilitator for up to 3 years or support for a broad range of arts and creative outcomes.

These partnerships result in new exhibitions, performances and projects, more artists developing their practice and being connected to statewide and national opportunities, the celebration of cultural experiences, creative
pathways for young creatives and greater community engagement.

Expressions of Interest are invited from local government, government agencies, established regional development, non-government, arts and cultural, and First Nations organisations that have a strong focus on
developing community capacity and assisting communities to manage their own arts and cultural aspirations.

The successful candidates will partner with Country Arts SA to employ Arts and Cultural Facilitators in regional South Australia. Country Arts SA currently has an established network of 8 Arts and Cultural Development Officers state-wide.

In 2019 all regionally based partnership proposals will be considered, with priority given to applications from the Far West and Eyre Peninsula, and Mid North and Yorke Peninsula. In addition, one position is Aboriginal identified.

Partners offering a staffing position to individuals with a disability, who are culturally diverse or LGBTQI+ are encouraged to apply.

The Arts and Cultural Facilitators assist with the development of activities, projects and programs in consultation with local communities, arts and cultural groups and regional artists to build community capacity through arts and cultural funding opportunities, disseminating information about arts and cultural initiatives, building and sustaining networks and collaborating with relevant non arts sectors to assist cultural development outcomes.

Three year partnerships may commence any time from 1 July to 31 December 2019.
