After reading through so many great applications, Country Arts SA and Sandpit are thrilled to announce that we have chosen the recipient of the Digital Theatre Mentorship.
A huge congratulations to Victor Harbor local Margaret Worth who will be joining us for the two year mentorship program. Margaret will spend part of her mentorship observing and contributing to the Creative Development of 2 new theatre works;
- Creation Creation – by Fleur Elise Noble, Jonathan Oxlade and Rosemary Myers, Chaffey Theatre July 6 to 17.
- The Post Internet – by Post, Varcoes Foundry July 13 to 24
Margaret kindly got in touch with us to tell us how excited she is to be part of this great program:
“I’m jumping out of my skin with excitement because this mentorship means I’ll be working alongside Steve Mayhew, Sam Haren and Dan Koerner. From them I’ll be learning about their work, setting up for theatre, technology and people interaction.
I applied because the mentorship presented an opportunity to learn about creating theatricality in installations and combining it with digital interaction – where I want to direct my new work – for people in all kinds of public spaces.”
We can’t wait to see the great theatre works that Margaret will be working on and ask you to join us in wishing her the best of luck!
