Twilight Art Market

Artists and National Trust come together for a unique market experience.

The Mount Gambier Branch of the National Trust of South Australia is opening up one of its finest heritage venues to the public for one evening only.

The Old Courthouse on Bay Road, Mount Gambier will present its first Twilight Art Market on Friday 29th November, 2013 from 4.00 to 8.00pm. Visitors are invited to view the interior of this magnificent treasure while taking advantage of the many attractions on the day.

It promises to be a fun filled evening with some of the finest art, cuisine, demonstrations and entertainment on offer. With only 25 shopping days left until Christmas this will be an excellent opportunity to purchase delightful gifts which will range from fine silver jewellery, handmade glass jewellery, mixed media and textile artworks, photography, exquisitely hand crafted timber furniture and more.

Demonstrations on the day will include Kumihimo Japanese braiding, spinning wool, how to make handmade paper. Visitors will be welcome to try their hand at the paper making. Or you can sit a while and have your portrait sketched by a professional artist.

Members of the Old Courthouse Gallery in conjunction with the Mount Gambier Branch of National Trust South Australia are working together to make this a memorable occasion.
