Summer Art School

Murray Bridge

In January staff at The Murray Bridge Regional Gallery coordinated a Summer School program with the Adelaide Central School of Art lecturer’s Yve Thompson and Nona Burden.

The six day drawing and painting workshop featured a series of drawing classes with Yve, an ex-graphic designer turned visual artist.  Yve graduated as a mature-age student in 2004 with a Bachelor of Visual Art (Hons) from Adelaide Central School of Art and now  teaches drawing subjects at the school.  Yve is a practicing artist, participating in numerous solo and group exhibition and she is also a tutor in the Secondary Schools Program at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Nona Burden ran a series of painting in oils workshops. Nona has a Bachelor of Visual Art from Adelaide Central School of Art, where she is a part-time lecturer.  She has exhibited extensively throughout Australia.
