Forty people attended an opening at the VIC Gallery on Friday 14 February, Valentines Day.  Both artists spoke passionately about their artwork and their love of creating art.  They thanked attendees, the District Council of Streaky Bay and Country Arts SA for support and assistance in the implementation of the exhibition.

‘Perceptions’ portrays the artist’s connections to the natural world and the cultural consciousness of society through a myriad of mediums, messages and platforms.  The essence of the collection of works is evoked by creation, symbolism, vibrance and colour, inspiration, fantasy and the artists’ spiritualism.  The works are clearly created ‘from the heart’.

Eloise Gale’s works reflect a vibrance of colour and tone that captivates and absorbs your interest to look into her paintings and see strong symbolism and fine detail.

Anna Andrasic says, “I paint purely from the heart, inspired by life and nature, using a lot of vibrant colour I never know what the end result will be as I never plan anything; just approach a blank canvas and let the inspiration flow”.

I Believe

Popular eatery Elliott’s Bakery and Café is simultaneously showcasing ‘I believe’ a collection of artworks by Diane Andrasic (Anna’s sister) until Saturday 28 March 2014.  Diane also has a focus on fantasy and abstract art.  Diane says “These works were inspired by nature, dreams and also other fantasy artists and their art.  I love looking at different styles of art [and] the challenge of creating in different styles and mediums”.
