It’s a great opportunity to get to know the State Theatre Company of SA, spend time with their creative teams including the set designers, the wardrobe department and meet theatre makers who will share their knowledge over an intensive four day schedule.
Students will learn about acting and directing techniques, attend design workshops and be introduced to the operations of a professional theatre company. Time will also be spent with the marketing and administration staff to provide a comprehensive experience that is sure to inspire students to considering a variety of career opportunities.
How do you get involved?
All you need to do is submit a one-page application letter detailing how you have already participated in the arts; what you hope to gain from doing work experience at STCSA; and what career paths you are already considering.
Please ensure you also provide your age, the school you are attending and full contact details including phone number, mailing address and email address.
The 2014 Work Experience Program will run from Monday 7 – Thursday 10 July which is Week 1 of the Term 2 school holidays.
Country Arts SA is encouraging applications from regional students and successful applicants will be supported to apply for a Quick Step Grant from the Regional Arts Fund to contribute towards accommodation and transportation costs.
Hurry, places are limited and unfortunately we are unable to offer a place to every student who applies.
