National Touring Selector’s future secured by Country Arts SA

A faster, simpler and more effective tool for connecting artists with Australian communities and beyond.

The online networking tool for the performing arts touring industry, the National Touring Selector, is now owned and operated by Country Arts SA.

The site connects over 2100 creators and presenters of performing arts from the Australian and New Zealand performing arts industry, including over 450 producing companies and 250 professional and community-run presenting organisations. It helps generate tours and performing arts seasons, with a particular emphasis on regional and remote venues and producers of tour ready shows.

After co-managing the NTS with Regional Arts Australia (RAA) for the past 12 months, Country Arts SA recently acquired the platform.

Over the past 12 months new markets have come on board including pilot projects for APAM, Adelaide Fringe Honeypot and Adelaide’s new ShowBroker in addition to existing markets that include PANNZ Arts Market (New Zealand), WA Showcase and Country Arts WA’s Shows on the Go, Online rounds and ’Buy Now’ round.

Acquiring the platform has enabled Country Arts SA to secure investment funding from Arts South Australia to further develop modules tailored towards the efficient delivery of the new Adelaide based national marketplace – ShowBroker. These modules will also be available to, and provide significantly increased functionality for, existing markets and users of the system.

Over the last two years Country Arts SA has further built its reputation as a producer of great art in addition to its traditional presenting and community arts and cultural development activities. This all round sector experience will assist in maximising the functionality of the NTS whilst also ensuring that it continuously adapts to the ever changing needs of the industry.
