NAIDOC WEEK RENMARK FAMILY FUN DAY

On Thursday 10th of July the Renmark community came to the McCormick Centre to celebrate their wonderful talented Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

 

Activities in Aboriginal painting taught by elders, weaving, didgeridoo playing, mural painting and wood carving demonstrations where just the beginning of activities on offer during the day.

 

A collaborative exhibition of over 40 pieces of artwork by local Indigenous artists is on display at the McCormick Centre for the month of July.

 

The Exhibition features artwork from Katherine Knuth who won the Riverland 2014 NAIDOC week award for Indigenous Artist of the year.

 

The McCormick Centre is located on RAL RAL AVE Renmark and is open from 10-4pm Monday to Friday.
