My Art Our Culture

Celebrity Artist Nathalie Dadian whose art is linked to Ellen DeGeneres, the Monaco Royal Family and the Dalai Lama conducted a series of workshops for local Riverland artists.

Trading in her old neighbours Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for kangaroos and emus, Nathalie stayed at Calperum Station Conservation Park a pastoral lease managed by Aunstralian Landscape Trust which covers 242,800 hectares near Renmark in The Riverland.

Nathalie ran a two-day seminar and workshop for The McCormick Centres program My Art Our Culture. My Art Our Culture is a one-year program for local Indigenous Artists who wish to take their art to a professional level.

Nathalie drew from her experience in marketing and communications to deliver a seminar on The Power of Positive Thinking, Unleashing the Business Artist Within, Marketing With A Difference and The Art of Success, which were all presented in a fun and interesting way.

Following the seminar, artists partook in a Mandala workshop, exhibiting their creations that same evening at the McCormick Centre. Catering  was provided by Dilly Bag which is indigenous inspired food.  Entertainment was provided by Aaron McArthur on Didge.

It was a great evening with participants sharing what they had learnt over the two days and their goals for the future.

Natalie will be back in the Riverland running more workshops in May before she moves to the South of France in June to start a woman’s Arts retreat.
