New year, new you. The same goes for the Middleback Arts Centre.
The Middleback Arts Centre is having some work done early this year, and while the outside of the building is going to look different during construction and the carpark out front will be fenced off, it’s business as usual.
From January 30 to April 13, the Middleback Arts Centre will be having some behind-the-scenes capital work upgrades. The upgrades include the installation of new air-conditioning plant and major Fire Safety System upgrades.
During this period the cinema and box office are expected to be open as usual however access to the building will be restricted. The small carpark out the front will be closed for major construction. Parking will be available on Nicolson Ave or in the TAFE carpark off Racecourse Rd.
Middleback Arts Centre Manager Ryan Sutherland said: “I’m excited about the scope of works and much needed upgrades and although we won’t see a visible change in the finished product the air-conditioning upgrade will make the whole venue including backstage much more comfortable.”
