Riverland Youth Theatre dance tutor Karen Kruger and Riverland Special School Student support officer Anne-Marie Bradford Marshall received an opportunity to participate in professional development with Restless Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director Michelle Ryan in Adelaide over a week in the school holidays recently.
Restless Dance Theatre is a leading Australian contemporary dance theatre company working with young people with disabilities. The duo were assistant tutor’s on the successful Restless, RYT and the Special School From The Ground Up project, which performed ‘The Memory Keeper’ at the Chaffey Theatre in March this year.
Karen and Anne-Marie will use their new found skills working in a Riverland Youth Theatre workshop with young dancers from the school.
The project was funded by Restless Dance Theatre, Country Arts SA’s Quick Step Program and Riverland Youth Theatre.
