Encaustic Workshop with Mo Godbeer

Threadmill Fibre Artists have once again collaborated with the Mt Gambier National Trust to bring Sydney based Encaustic Artist and Educator Mo Godbeer to run workshops in Encaustic Wax in our Limestone Coast region.

The class will cover the history of encaustics, studio safety and how to prepare encaustic medium and paints.  It will also cover board preparation, fusing, how to create smooth and textured surfaces, image transferring and layering techniques to achieve differing effects with beeswax and resin.  How to set up a studio for working in encaustic, what materials are required and how to do it cheaply will also be covered.

Participants can expect to take home at the very least four completed pieces.
