Drawing for the Terrified

Drawing for the Terrified with Julia Wakefield

Due to an overwhelming response from the September workshop we are now hosting an additional workshop for October.

A one-day workshop for those who’ve not dared pick up a pencil since the day their teacher said “drawing’s not for you”.

This workshop is not just an introduction to the rules of drawing. It also aims to demonstrate ways we can learn to tune into our right brains, which enables us to instantly improve our drawing ability, leading to increased confidence and enjoyment!

Julia devised the course ‘Drawing for the Terrified’ in England 20 years ago, and ran workshops at adult education colleges and community centres in the UK for nearly ten years before bringing the idea with her to Australia.

She has taught this course at the Adelaide Central School as well as schools, community centres and art societies. She has had enthusiastic responses from complete beginners as well as accomplished painters who felt they had never mastered the rules of drawing.
