Art Lounge in Millicent

The Millicent Art Lounge is officially open.

Curator Martin Sullivan has worked tirelessly to create an artistic social hub that will bring artists from across the Limestone Coast region together, with a goal of collaborating on larger scale projects for the community.

The Art Lounge was formally an underutilised space adjoining the Millicent Visitor Information Centre, following endorsement by Wattle Range Council it is now an exhibition and studio space allowing visitors to the centre to interact with the artists.

“It’s not just about the art on the wall, I envision the lounge to be a very interactive space” said Mr Sullivan.  He hopes that the unique working studio experience will draw tourists to the art lounge and colour the Limestone Coast as a premier art destination.
