Apply for the Country Arts SA Artist Fund

When the Covid-19 pandemic put a halt to our normal lives back in March we asked regional artists what challenges they faced. They told us they needed money to help with bills, to pay for online courses or new digital equipment, keep the studio open and more.

To help artists through this period, we set up the Artist Fund.

Thanks to the generosity of patrons who donated their ticket refunds and the staff, board and stakeholders of Country Arts SA we now have $10,000 available for small one-off payments of up to $500 in the newly established Country Arts SA Artist Fund to help support these individuals during this crisis.

Country Arts SA Arts Chief Executive Anthony Peluso said, “The arts industry in regional South Australia is facing unique hardships as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Artists, their support crews and freelancers who are frequently among the first to pitch in to help community fund-raisers are now in need of that same help. We want to thank everyone who has generously donated. We strongly encourage artists to apply to help them through this period.”

The deadline for applications is Monday 22 June with the aim of providing funds by 30 June. Before applying please read the Artist Fund Guidelines document here.
