About

Part of Soundworks: live music, shared stories, regional stages.

Singer-songwriter Nathan May draws on country and folk influences to share songs that reflect on family, connection to country, and truth-telling. Teaming up with violinist Julian Ferraretto, known for his genre-crossing style, the performance blends music and storytelling in a thoughtful and personal way.

Set in a relaxed, onstage cabaret-style setting, the Soundworks series creates a welcoming atmosphere where audiences and artists connect up close. From the rhythm of a train line through the landscape to the quiet pull of home, Nathan’s music explores themes of place, identity, and belonging.

Opening the night is Katie Aspel, whose soulful voice and honest songwriting set the tone for an evening of heartfelt music
