Grace Barbé brings with her all the warmth and vivacity of her birthplace, the Seychelles.
Grace and her five piece band fuse tropical island rhythms, African percussion, reggae, pop, rock and Latin flavours. Their “Afro-Kreol” sound is original, fresh and funky.
Grace’s soulful music reflects and celebrates the diverse influences of her Indian Ocean heritage (African, Asian and European). She’s performed at Australia’s leading music festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest, WOMADelaide and Woodford plus internationally at SAKIFO and IOMMA (La Reunion), Reggae Donnsa (Mauritius) and Carnivale Internationale de Victoria (Seychelles).
Grace is a unique world music star for the 21st century, with the talent, looks and voice to match.
To celebrate Grace Barbé’s return to South Australia, we are giving away 2 x Single Day WOMADelaide passes to one lucky fan who purchases a ticket to any regional Grace Barbé performance. To go into the draw, simply purchase a ticket from one of Country Arts SA’s regional venues and you will go into the running for this great prize! For anyone that has already got their Grace tickets, you are already in the running! The winner will be drawn after Grace’s final performance, October 11.
