It’s double the giggles and double the grins, and double the trouble if you’re blessed with twins!

Created by The PaperBoats, Especially on Birthdays is an intimate visual-theatre experience for 4-8 year olds that shares the ups and downs and roundabouts of the most anticipated day of the year.

Part performance, part game, part celebration, the performance engages children in deeply human stories of friendship, play, giving, receiving, sharing and understanding.

“Apart from being a beautiful, atmospheric, clever piece of theatre making, I could see the joy, questions, anticipation and awe on the faces of the children who were watching it with me.  What more could you want?” Susannah Sweeney, Creative Producer, DreamBIG Childrens Festival.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory group, the South Australian Government through Arts South Australia and Country Arts SA and the City of Marion Council through the Marion Cultural Centre.

We invite educators, parents, grandparents and carers to join The PaperBoats Explorer Community and receive invitations to free ‘trial’ performances, discounted preview performances, residencies and professional development opportunities.
