Following the overwhelming success of Drawing on Country in 2018, communities are once again invited to attend a free outdoor art workshop interpreting their local landscape in various locations across the state.

People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to bring drawing or painting equipment, cameras or tablets and join a group of likeminded community members, each creating their own perspective of the natural environment around them.

An artist will be present at each site to coordinate and support participants and demonstrate outdoor arts processes and techniques. Art materials will also be available for trial on the day. Participants may then submit their work for exhibition at a local venue for the annual SALA Festival.

If you’re community is interested in hosting a Drawing on Country event in your community, contact Di Gordon on 0484 106 216 or email [email protected]

When: 10:00am-4:00pm on Saturday, 6th April 2019
