A Different Beat
About
Whyalla Ballet School proudly presents A DIFFERENT BEAT
Angelina Ballerina – Angelina Mousling fell tail over whiskers the day Alice came to school and they quickly became the best of friends. Angelina wants more than anything else, to become a fa-mouse ballerina – she dances all the time! Is her dream impawssible? Or with Miss Lilly’s help can she become the happiest mouse in the world!?
Timespan – A neo-classical piece performed in three parts.
Camouflage – A Jazz and Modern compilation to popular songs of that type: Soldier, Salute, One Woman Army and including our award winning jazz item Revolver.
Disney Villains – Though it’s true that Disney Villains get a bad rep (and so they should, they are rotten to the core), that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get credit for their impeccable sense of rhythm in this Tap take-off.
“Donna & the Dynamos” – a Mamma Mia Musical inspired by the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs. Flashback to 1979 and a young Donna graduates from Oxford, alongside besties Rosie and Tanya, and prepares to travel the world where she famously arrives on the Greek island of Kalokairi. A celebration of love, laughter, fun and friendship is exactly what the world needs right now. “How can you resist it?”
Showcasing local dancers aged 3 to adult performing classical ballet, pointe, modern, jazz and tap dance.
