Kumarangk Theatre Producer

Country Arts SA is seeking a passionate Theatre Producer to join our First Nations team. Based either in Adelaide or regional South Australia.

As Kumarangk Theatre Producer, you will work closely with the Country Arts SA Kumarangk team and a number of partners to bring an important South Australian story to the stage.

In your role you will:
– Develop, implement and lead the production of the Kumarangk theatre project with the Kumarangk creative team.
– Negotiate agreements and contracts for artists and creatives and manage all artist and contractors’ relationships throughout the project.
– Ensure all project schedules are prepared, maintained, accurate, updated, and distributed as needed to relevant personnel.
– Work closely with Elders, artists, and community to ensure a successful project outcome.  

We are looking for someone who has:
– Demonstrated experience working in a similar role encompassing a major theatre project with multiple outcomes, project management, development, delivery and coordination.
– Experience with working with First Nations communities and artists in regional contexts, ensuring equity, diversity and cultural safety.
– Demonstrated ability to manage projects within deadlines and budget constraints.  

This .6 role is being offered as a 12-month fixed-term position, offered at ASO5 plus super.
