Associate Producer – Touring
Country Arts SA is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to undertake the position of Associate Producer Touring within the Experiences team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project and Program Manager, in providing administrative support and supporting the programming team to deliver a range of tours both regionally and nationally.
This 1 FTE role is being offered as a 1-year fixed-term position at AS04. The role is based either regionally or in Port Adelaide.
About the Role
The role will be well suited to an individual experienced in managing tours at a state and national level.
The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure is a critical component of the role, as is building productive relationships with people inside and outside the organisation. The successful applicant will also take pride in being an ambassador for Country Arts SA, knowing that their work is helping to enhance Country Arts SA’s impact and reach locally and nationally.
Your duties include:
- Lead the coordination of a range of performing ats tours from national scale to regional toursincluding liaison with art centres, touring companies and community presenters
- Manage projects including the coordination of budgets and contracts and tour schedules
- Liaise with artists and companies and coordinate contracting for state and national tours including presenters, artists, suppliers and producers
- Manage enquiries from independent artists and companies, and assist with future national tour and regional tour building opportunities
- Devise community engagement and audience development initiatives and work with other staff to deliver the activities
- Prepare funding applications, support letters and acquittals as required
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in working with performing arts companies and independent artists, including contracting and budgets
- Experience supporting the development of new performing arts work
- Diligent with good personal organisation skills, attention to detail and an ability to prioritise activities to achieve results within strict deadlines
- High level communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders, including venue managers and artists
- Understanding of financial management practices and administrative policies
- High competency in IT to manage touring processes
- Ability to use initiative, problem solve and take an active approach to improving processes and systems
- A collaborative approach with a commitment to work as part of a team to build and share knowledge that contributes to positive team culture.
- Experience and sensitivity of working in regional communities
Special conditions:
- This role requires a National Police Check clearance and a current Australian driver’s licence
- Participation in Country Arts SA Staff Development Review Process is required
- Out of hours business work, Intrastate and interstate travel will be required.
