Country Arts SA recognises that we are living and creating on First Nations Lands and we are committed to working together to honour their living cultures.
In 2015, Country Arts SA’s new arts guide has broadened its reach to bring light to the range of cultural activities throughout the state.
The much anticipated Mainstage Season is still centre stage but we have added new engagement opportunities, more information for artists on grants and funding, more visual arts content, and a Try Something New section.
Australia’s favourite outlaw Ned Kelly will kick off the season with Kelly as you’ve never seen him before, followed by State Theatre Company’s This Is Where We Live, Sydney Dance Company’s De Novo, interactive theatre Confidence Man, Flak, and Carmen Sweet.
In its second year Arts on Screen is bringing the magic of the live theatre from great cities to Australian screens. Without leaving your seat, take a trip to Broadway with the classic tale Of Mice and Men starring Hollywood’s James Franco and Leighton Meester, or visit some of the world’s best galleries in The Impressionists.
In the Try Something New section there are Cultural Development projects which you can get involved in, meet new people, and see how art is being made in your community.
The Country Arts SA guide reaches the wider regional community. It’s your go-to guide to the arts for the whole year. We will be updating the guide electronically mid-year as more arts opportunities and events arise in your community.
