Country Arts SA’s manages arguably the most comprehensive visual arts touring exhibitions program across South Australia, encompassing galleries from as far west as Ceduna to Mount Gambier in the south east.

Breaking Ground

Launched in 2012, the Breaking Ground award provides a regional South Australian visual artist with a unique opportunity to develop their skills and broaden their professional experience. The winner will receive $10,000 to develop a body of work for a solo exhibition to be held at a venue in the Adelaide CBD in conjunction with the SALA Festival.

Whyalla Art Prize

Originally designed to promote regional emerging artists, the prize has flourished and developed into a significant award and is seen as an important exhibition of contemporary arts in Australia.

NEBULA 2017

Country Arts SA is proud to open applications for NEBULA 2017: Visual Arts Development Program. The program supports 8 regional artists to spend three days in Adelaide during SALA Festival 2017. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the Festival, as well as attend workshops, tours and other activities. One key benefit to this program will be the opportunity to meet and speak with fellow regional artists from across the state.
