Our Aboriginal Engagement program supports Aboriginal artists to tell their stories using both traditional and new artforms. Our program helps youth reconnect with their culture through art and encourages more people to participate in art based activities.

Reconciliation Action Plan

Country Arts SA first released a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) that covered 2014-2016. In 2018 we released our current 2018-2020 Stretch RAP and our currently in the process of devising our next Stretch.

Aboriginal Advisory Committee

Country Arts SA is committed to the continued development of its Aboriginal program and in 2011 established an Aboriginal Reference Group (ARG) to support the program.

Aboriginal Creative Producer

Kaurna and Narungga woman Nikki Ashby is Country Arts SA’s Aboriginal Creative Producer based out of Port Pirie. The role started in Februaru 2020 and is responsible for creating new arts experiences.
