The Curdnatta Art Group in Port Augusta has been busy cleaning out their workshop rooms at the back of the Curdnatta Art Gallery.  The result is a great new artist studio space.

Accessed via the main gallery, the studio space has already become popular with locals and visitors.

Curdnatta Art Group member Georgie Sharp said the opening of the new artist’s studio has seen an increase in visitors to the gallery and engagement between visitors and the artists.

“Just the other day one of our members said ‘Is it my imagination or are more people visiting the gallery since we opened the studio?’

“And we seem to spend much longer talking to people about the art that is produced at the gallery now the artist’s studio is open,” she said.
