Inaugural Riverland Mallee Short Film Festival

Are you a budding film maker? Do you have an interest in producing a short film? If yes, it’s your time to shine! Enter the 1 Minute Riverland Mallee Film Festival (1mRMFF) now!

Established by Berri Barmera Council and Country Arts SA in partnership, along with support from 5RM, Magic 93.1 and Kix Country, the Riverland 1mRMFF challenges entrants to create a short film using any type of device.

Your goal is to create a short film using a mobile phone or tablet within a 60 second timeframe. These simple constraints make filmmaking more accessible for all ages, skills and regional communities.

The challenge is open to anyone in the Riverland/Mallee and at least one of the (producer, director, writer) principle creatives need to have a Riverland/Mallee, South Australian address. Selected entries will be screened at the Chaffey Theatre on February 25, at 7pm. The entries will undergo an additional selection process with the final films to be screened free to the public on the outdoor projectors at the Bonney Theatre Outdoor Projection Site on March 19. Find out more about the event here.

This challenge is free to enter, check out the Terms & Conditions here. You can enter online using the form below.
