Grants are available to support arts and cultural activities in regional South Australia that are sustainable, have long term cultural, economic and social benefits, develop partnerships and cultural networks and provide skills development opportunities.

Available grants

Elevate Grants: Local & Live

  • $2,000
  • The Elevate: Local & Live grant round closes 9 December 2022.

Elevate: Local & Live are grants of up to $2,000 to support regional performing artists to present their work at a regional South Australia venue of their choice or a Country Arts SA arts centre (located in Whyalla, Port Pirie, Renmark and Mount Gambier).

Quick Response Grants

  • Up to $3000 for Individuals; Up to $5000 for Organisations/Community Groups
  • Quick Response Grant rounds run monthly from February to November. The November 2022 Quick Response Grant round is now open and closes 11.29pm, 30 November 2022. This is the last Quick Response Grant round for 2022.

Quick Response Grants will fund professional development opportunities for artists and arts workers or small project opportunities. The program supports immediate need that arises where the activity is unable to be planned for or supported in other funding rounds, for example taking up professional development, skills development or small project opportunities at short notice.

Skills Development Assistance Grants

  • Up to $1,500
  • The Skills Development Assistance grant program will be closed from 9 December 2022 to 16 January 2023.

Country Arts SA’s Skills Development Assistance Grants are available to support artists and arts workers to participate in professional development opportunities. The grants are fast-turnaround and are intended for those who wish to undertake a time sensitive Skills Development opportunity. These grants provide assistance with travel and accommodation costs associated with undertaking professional development opportunities such as workshops, conferences, seminars etc. Country Arts SA's Skills Development Assistance Program is managed by Country Arts SA on behalf of Arts South Australia for the South Australian Government. The Skills Development Assistance Program opens each year in mid-January and closes mid-December.

Project Grants

  • Up to $30,000
  • There are two Project Grant rounds per year. Project Grants have closed for 2022. Round 1 2023 will open early February 2023.

Project Grants will fund high-quality arts projects benefitting regional or remote artists, arts workers, audiences and communities. The focus of the project could include any area of creative practice, multiple artforms or cross-disciplinary practice.

Shows on the Road (GAL)

  • Opens 31 January 2022

This program aims to increase access to the arts through the delivery of professional performing arts to smaller country centres.
