“An informative, empathetic, engaging and accessible exploration.” – Screen Daily

One Direction, Backstreet Boys, Take That…and the granddaddy of them all, The Beatles; all have inspired fierce devotion from armies of young women. Scenes of screaming fans are much loved by our media, but hey, let’s stop putting the girls down! Australian filmmaker Jessica Leski interviews three generations of fans who speak candidly about the vital role boy band obsession has played in addressing issues in their lives. Spanning continents and cultural backgrounds, Leski’s film is insightful, touching and bursting with joy.

Richard Parker is a counsellor with a lived experience of mental illness and suicide.

GHOST STORIES (M) 114mins

“A barnstormer of an entertainment. A fairground ride with dodgy brakes.”

– The Guardian

Renowned sceptic Professor Goodman (co-director Jeremy Dyson, founder of The League of Gentlemen) accepts a challenge to investigate three spine-chilling cases. A nightwatchman is haunted, a car breaks down in a dark forest, and a man (Martin Freeman) is terrified as he awaits the birth of his child. Each investigation supports the existence of strange and malevolent forces. Channeling everything from Val Lewton to Hammer Horror and Dario Argento, this adaptation of the West End smash is a treat for fans of things that go aaaaaaaaaaaaargh in the night!
