Join Tso’s Dance Association and Tsoying High Dance Group as they perform for the very first time in Australia in the World Premiere of their new show, Radiance.

Direct from Taiwan and in association with Lewis Major Projects, Radiance is an eclectic mixed bill of classical, Chinese and contemporary dance, showcasing nine new works from Australian and Taiwanese choreographers.

Tsoying High Dance Group was established in 1984 by the world-renowned writer, choreographer and director of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, Lin Hwai-min. For 25 years, Tsoying High has been the pre-eminent institution for dance in Taiwan and finally, Australian audiences are to be treated to the extraordinary talents of this forty-five strong company of young dancers.

An evening of accessible, extraordinary work from the rising stars of international dance, Radiance is not to be missed.

Director of Tsoying High Dance Group, Suling Chou, “We are so excited that after 25 years, Tsoying Dance is finally touring to Australia. We have had so many Australian choreographers and dancers guest with the company in the past few decades – it will be a thrill to see the country that has produced so many of the amazing artists that have touched our company in some way over the years.”

Lewis Major, independent South Australian choreographer who has shared a long history with Tsoying High Dance Group noted “Taiwan is an island nation with a relatively short history of its own dance identity – much like Australia. It’s wonderful to have the latest work of the company premiering in Australia and a great chance for Adelaide audiences to get a broad overview of very different styles of dance in one evening.”
