The Payroll & Accounting Officer is a crucial member of Country Arts SA’s small, dynamic Finance Team.
As part of the Port Adelaide team, you’ll work closely with the Finance Manager, Sustainability Leader and Head of People to provide financial reports and processes that build a positive workplace culture.
About the Role
The Payroll & Accounting Officer works closely with other members of the Finance team to ensure the provision of an accurate and effective payroll function and effective accounting and financial reporting systems.
Your duties include:
- The timely and accurate processing and validation of end-to-end payroll transactions
- Implementing financial and payroll policies and procedures to improve work systems
- Providing timely and accurate reports and providing information to assist with budget planning processes
As the Payroll Officer you will demonstrate strong payroll knowledge and skills and be disciplined in maintaining a high standard of practice. You will be committed to your own development and act proactively as well as flexibly without supervision. You will also have strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deadlines.
Special conditions: Occasional out of hours work, and intrastate travel may be required.
