This screening is presented as part of Country Arts SA’s Arts on Screen program.

Puccini’s famous final opera about a brutal princess and a brave suitor is set against a spectacular Sydney Harbour backdrop, featuring a 60-meter fire-breathing dragon, with a tail that morphs into the Great Wall, and a shimmering pagoda that stands 18 meters tall.

“Turandot is a fantasy opera of poetry and myth, set in an exotic world where fear and love go hand in hand.” **** Sydney Morning Herald

CONNECT with Arts On Screen: Turandot on Sydney Harbour
Join a special guest from State Opera of South Australia and be introduced to Puccini’s Turandot captured on the Sydney Harbour. Hear about what goes on behind the scenes, long before the curtain goes up. How does a new opera get made? What new works are being developed in Australia and what does the future of opera in Australia look and sound like?
