Terrain transports us to Lake Eyre, Australia’s inland sea and one of the few untouched, natural waterways in the world.

Here, through exceptional contemporary dance, Bangarra Dance Theatre explores the relationship Indigenous people have to country and how landscape becomes a second skin.

Award-winning Aboriginal artists – choreographer Frances Rings, composer David Page and set designer Jacob Nash – create a powerful and evocative production inspired by the timeless beauty of Lake Eyre.

After its world premiere season in 2012, Terrain went on to win two Helpmann Awards for Best Ballet/Dance Work and Best Female Dancer in a Dance or Physical Theatre Work for dancer Deborah Brown.

Bangarra Dance Theatre is one of Australia’s leading performing arts organisations with a unique dance technique forged from over 40,000 years of culture infused with contemporary movement. Witness the power of its 17-member dance ensemble in a spectacular and meaningful performance that will stay with you for days.
