The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA), through its Education Program, offers opportunities for school students to access and engage with Australian screen culture. It celebrates the Australian film industry by bringing screenings of contemporary and classic Australian feature films, documentaries and short films to schools throughout regional Australia. These films cater specifically for both primary school and high school students. These screenings take place during school hours.

Oakie, a young blue heeler pup, is supposed to be delivered to Texas, USA, but through a courier bungle he ends up in Texas, Queensland, in Outback Australia. Oakie is quickly befriended by Action Dann and they embark on a series of adventures, meeting many wonderful and quirky characters in the Australian Outback. Oakie relives many of the poems and stories that define the Australian culture. Including Waltzing Matilda, Mulga Bills Bicycle, The Man from Snowy River and Bush Christening by AB Banjo Patterson and The Loaded Dog by Henry Lawson.

Beneath Hill 60 is an Australian feature film set underneath the trenches of WWI. This never-before-told Australian story takes place during 1916 and 1917, when Queensland miner Captain Oliver Woodward, undertrained and never having faced hostile fire before, finds himself on the Western Front, the bloodiest battlefield in history.
