In June 2016, artists, arts workers and researchers joined their health care, community and local government colleagues, in a one-day forum at the Science Exchange in Adelaide to explore ways of working together to demonstrate the case for arts as key to healthy individuals and communities.

The program supports a diverse range of practitioners engaging with staff and patients in dynamic creative activity.  Program artists will discuss how this experience shapes their work and evidence of the positive effects on health and wellbeing.

Arts Engagement and Mental Wellbeing – Dr Christina Davies

Dr Davies will use her research into quantifying the relationship between recreational arts engagement and mental wellbeing to canvas how these results can be put to work as an advocacy and evaluation tool.
