Contemperate Sculpture Trail a first for the south coast

Be quick – Contemperate is ephemeral – which means it won’t be there forever.  Get down to Middleton before June 8 and walk the trail.  Why not make a day of it and drive to Milang to see the new outdoor art there too!

The coastline between Middleton and Port Elliot is arguably one of the most scenic stretches of the South Coast, and with the shared bike/walkway, allows for the kind of accessibility which encourages the leisurely discovery and informal viewing of artworks/temporary sculpture. Curated by Barbary O’Brien, this is the first exhibition of its kind on the South Coast.

Contemperate was launched on Sunday 4 May @ 2pm at the Old Dairy, Basham’s Park, Basham Beach Road, Middleton by Trish Hansen, manager Public Art & Design, Arts SA

Contemperate is a Just Add Water project presented by Country Arts SA, Alexandrina Council and the Australia Council as part of a Federal Government pilot initiative to stimulate communities through arts.
