Learning Connections – Visual Arts Development Program

DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL 5PM, MARCH 10.

Country Arts SA will host regional South Australian visual artists in Adelaide from Wednesday 8 to Friday 10 April 2015, for a series of professional development and networking workshops, gallery presentations and opportunities.

The program will include the launch of Craft Anonymous at the Adelaide Town Hall. This exciting new exhibition will feature both regional and metro artists working in craft mediums. The program aims to cultivate relationships between artists from South Australia’s regional areas, with metro artists, gallery directors and curators. As part of the application process applicants will be asked to nominate areas of interest ensuring that the program is relevant to all those selected to participate. Other activities will include a gallery tour and opportunities to meet gallery directors, artists, curators and funding body representatives.

Attendance is free. Numbers are limited and not all applicants are guaranteed participation in the program. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to an ongoing professional arts practice and the benefits of attending the professional development program.

A limited number of travel assistance grants will be available through Country Arts SA. Applicants wishing to apply for travel assistance can fill out the additional information on the registration form. Applications close 2 March 2015, for both participation in the program and Travel Assistance Grants.

All applicants will be advised of the outcome no later than 9 March 2015.

Who can apply?
Participation in the program is open to all resident artists of regional South Australia. See more at the Accessibility/Remoteness Index of Australia (ARIA).
